WHY TITHE?
God created you with a generous spirit.
When you tithe, you’re trusting God with your finances.
Tithing is a biblical principle. God calls us to give the first 10% of our income, our “first fruits” back to Him. We’ve seen God provide abundantly in our church, and we know He will provide abundantly for you and your family when you put Him first in your finances. In fact, it’s the one area in the Bible where God tells you to test Him.
"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!" Malachi 3:10 NLT
Tithe is for all believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 5:3, 12, 20, 6:20, 19:21, 25:34; John 17) This principle is discussed throughout the Bible. Tithing or giving God the first 10% of our income to your home church, is the primary practical way we acknowledge that God is first in our lives. (Proverbs 3:9; 10:24; 2 Corinthians 5:1)
